Jacopo Giacomoni

È solo un lungo tramonto is a performance for voice, saxophone, video, and archival materials, born out
of the gradual loss of memory of the author’s father. Through an ongoing process of transcription and linguistic distortion, the text slowly deteriorates, like a memory fading from view. What emerges is a “theatre of forgetting”: a gradual disintegration of presence, spectre, and silence, in which time itself seems to have fallen “out of joint.”

Biography

Jacopo Giacomoni
is a dramaturg, performer, and saxophonist. His practice moves across theatre, philosophy, and hybrid performance, creating scenic devices that unsettle memory, language, and the perception of time. Winner of the 2025 Premio Riccione for Tacet and recipient of the special “Franco Quadri” mention in 2023, he develops a ritualistic
and unsettling form of theatre, suspended between sound improvisation, hauntology, and contemporary dramaturgy.
